Amy Schumer cut a casual figure as she arrived at the Today Show in New York City on Wednesday afternoon.

The 42-year-old writer and producer showed off her naturally smooth complexion as she stepped out of a black SUV without makeup before entering NBC Studios.

The actress styled her honey blonde locks with a side part and wore a long sleeve gray shirt with green sweatpants and black sneakers. Every Mother Counts is a non-profit focused on making pregnancy and childbirth safe for all.

The stand-up comic talked up her new Netflix special, Amy Schumer: Emergency Contact, while opening up about married life and motherhood.

During her special, Schumer revealed that she was relieved upon being diagnosed with Hyperemesis Gravidarum, which causes severe nausea and vomiting during pregnancy.

She camedically explained, ‘Well, we haven’t been able to study it because it only happens to women.’

She further explained the joke by telling Today’s Hoda Kotb, ‘There’s like a dozen types of Viagra, but if a woman needs something, it’s like, “I’m sorry we really haven’t gotten around to studying you yet.”‘

Schumer also noted that she expects to get a lot of backlash for speaking freely about controversial topics in her latest stand-up routine.

The Trainwreck star also upped his sentiments on marriage after the honeymoon phase saying ‘you are going to need to just tolerate each other day-to-day.’

Schumer and her husband, Chris Fischer, tied the knot at a picturesque ceremony in Malibu in 2018 and share a 4-year-old boy named Gene.

The mother-of-one also opened up about her struggles with pregnancy saying, ‘They try to paint everything like it’s better than it is. Like pregnancy, they lie so much to women about how great; they say, “You’re glowing,” that’s how much they lie.

‘Am I glowing? It’s like “No!” being pregnant is horrible, and you’re going to feel sick and feel bloated, but “You’re glowing,” it’s just lies,’ said Schumer.

The boisterous comic, whose stand-up routine once included jokes about taking the Plan B pill, spoke to People about motherhood saying, she was ‘surprised as anybody else that I had maternal instincts.’

‘But gosh, you know, all the clich├ęs are just true,’ she divulged, adding that she’s ‘crazy about’ her little one.

And he noted that he felt comfortable leaving Gene with his father while he was out on tour.

‘I don’t worry about him being taken care of,’ she emphasized. ‘I just missed him. You just wanna physically be there. I really do think it’s harder for me than him.’

The seasoned writer also commented on the writers’ strike, saying, ‘I’m a very proud Writer’s Guild member, and I’m SAG, and DGA (Directors Guild of America), I’m a proud member of all three, and I just wanna, you know, show solidarity.’

She continued to explain that she has been picking along with the strikers as they are fighting for ‘living wages’ against ‘corporate greed’ saying, ‘these huge studios and streaming services that are making so much money and just hurting the people at the bottom which are the writers.’
