Fleur Fashion Show raises over $5000 for Moose Jaw Transition House – DiscoverMooseJaw.com

The Fleur Fashion Show at Rowan Clothing last weekend was a huge success!

The 140-seat venue was sold out within 48 hours of tickets going on sale. There was also a huge waiting list of people hoping to attend the event.

Over $5000 was donated to Moose Jaw Transition House, which plans to use the money to improve the quality of its housing.

Heathir Coakwell, Owner of Rowan Clothing, loved seeing the excitement and encouragement in the room.

“It was such a beautiful thing, seeing every woman walking out, and other women cheering for them,” Coakwell commented. “The energy was so beautiful.”

Coakwell thought this event would be a great way to bring the women of the community together.

“This event was targeted towards women, like a girls’ night out to celebrate each other,” Coakwell remarked. “I thought, why don’t we get together and get the girls out? It worked out really well!”

Ten local volunteers modeled a variety of styles, from casual to formal clothing.

Rhonda Gieni, one of the models for the show, said it was hard to hold back from smiling at the excitement of it all.

“There was so much energy in the room. It was the funnest evening I’ve had in a long time,” Gieni commented. “It was a great crowd for a great cause!”

The businesses that participated included Rowan Clothing Co., Cranberry Collective Boutique, Untamed Blooms + Botanicals, Bella Chic, Shades of Jay, and Clothes Encounter. Other business partners that supported the event include Annie Kot Hair, Bomb Hair by Brooklyn, Holly-Would Rentals, Luby Bower Distillery, Megan Nash Music, Melanie Pasolli Videographer, Pravda Studio + Spa, Sam Tran Beauty & Wellness, Stacia Whelan Photography, Taste Patisserie, and Your Mane Rae.
